Logo History

Since the 1960’s, the Boston Celtics logo consists of a a leprechaun spinning a basketball and leaning on a cane. He’s called Lucky and he’s dressed in a gold vest with green shamrocks, black pents and shoes. Both hat and bow tie use the similar style as the vest. The team’s nickname is “Celtics” and their mascot is “Lucky the Leprechaun”. Boston Celtics’ official colors are Green, black, gold.
