A cool way to design a perfect map pin shape is by using this tip by Paulius Kairevicius. This technique can be used in any of the popular design tools such as Photoshop, Illustrator, Adobe XD, Sketch, Figma, etc. It’s an easy and quick process.
Follow the steps below to get a pixel perfect pin icon!
Step 1
Create a square.
Step 2
Draw 4 lines vertically and horizontally inside the rectangle in order to get 16 small squares.
Step 3
Draw a circle with the same size as the rectangle and place it in the center of it.
Step 4
Create another circle half the size of the first one and place it as well in the center of the square.
Step 5
Group the shapes and rotate them 45deg in any direction.
Step 6
Combine the shapes and draw your pin.
