Logo History and Design
In 2022, Cleveland Cavaliers decided to update their logo collection by bringing back the 80’s Cavaliers Gold color. The Cavaliers Wine stayed the same but instead of the navy hue they decided to shift to black. All these changes to their brand are due to artist Daniel Arsham. The new designs present a simple, modernized, and powerful graphic that will feel new, yet familiar to fans.

Cleveland Cavaliers Shield Logo
The Cleveland Cavaliers Global (Shield) logo also got reworked. Compared to the 2017 version, the current one has undergone some significant changes to better represent the team’s brand identity. One notable change is the use of updated Caviliers Gold color scheme. The sword element from the previous version was removed allowing for a cleaner design that greatly emphasis the “C” symbol and the wordmark. The “Cavaliers” word now shares the same font size, creating a balance throughout the logo.

The secondary logo builds upon the 2017-2022 wordmark by incorporating an evolved “V Net” logo that nods to the Cavaliers’ rich history.

The “V Net” logo taken from the wordmark is at the same time a throwback to the 80’s logo while also paying homage to Larry O’Brien trophy.
